Share your local story

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2. Entry is open to residents of New South Wales who are 18 years and over.  Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.
3. To enter:  

   Complete and submit the online entry form at www.yourlocalclub.com.au during the entry period including a response of up to 250 words or less to the following: “Share your local story”

   Limit applies of one entry per person.
   

   Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period.  Entries received after 01/05/13 will not be accepted.

4. The competition commences at [00.01] [EST] on [07/12/12] and closes at [23.59] [EST] on [01/05/13] (“Entry Period”).
5. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on creativity and originality. The best 12 entries, as determined by the judges, will each receive a prize.
6. Judging will take place at [12:00] [EST] on a monthly basis at Channelzero, Forum Plaza, 201-205 Pacific Highway, St. Leonards, NSW.  Entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts.
7. Prizes consist of $1,000 credit at your local club.  Prize is limited to events, bar and food purchases. Prize is limited to participating clubs and must be used wholly and in full at one location only. Prize may be be subject to the individual discretion and terms of service at the participating club. Total RRP value of prizes = $1,000.  All taxes (excluding GST) which may be payable as a consequence of receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. All other ancillary costs including but not limited to events insurance, taxes, taxis, transfers and any and all other expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
8. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash.  The judges’ decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into.  The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications.  Entries will be deemed void if illegitimate, forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
9. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
10. The winners will be notified by email on the 1st Monday of each month within the promotional period.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion.  Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final.  The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
12. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
13. The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the participating club from whence the prize is redeemed. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner as a result of the conduct of the participating venue.
14. Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may modify cancel, terminate or suspend the competition.
15. Entrants warrant and agree that, without limitation:
    
    1. they will not submit any material (including without limitation, the entry itself, images, answers to questions, posts or comments and whether on the your local club website or elsewhere in relation to this competition or any entrant or entry) (“Content”) that is unlawful or fraudulent or that may be in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, politically incorrect, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, racist, ageist, sexist, objectionable with respect to religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication;
    2. they will only submit Content which they have personally created or have the right to submit;
    3. their entry will not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity;
    4. they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems;
    5. they have the full authority to grant to the Promoter the rights referred to in this document; and
    6. they will indemnify the Promoter against all costs and claims by third parties arising from a breach of the warranties contained in this document.
16. Entrants agree:
    
    1. they are fully responsible for the Content which they submit. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, determine whether an entry will be posted, or remain posted on its websites. The Promoter reserves the right to vet or remove any Content at any time in its absolute discretion. However, The Promoter is not responsible for any Content uploaded to the site and visitors to the site view it at their own risk. Notwithstanding any decision by the Promoter to post Content on its website, the terms and warranties set out in these Conditions of Entry continue to apply;
    2. to waive, and hereby do waive, any legal or equitable rights or remedies they have or may have against the Promoter with respect to the entries they submit and their use of the Promotion Website, and agree to indemnify and hold the Promoter, its officers, agents and affiliates harmless to the fullest extent allowed by law regarding all matters related to their use of the site;
    3. to report abuse, harassment, inappropriate content or privacy complaints by visiting info@channelzero.com.au.
    4. The Promoter reserves the right to remove any content from the Promotion Website without prior notice in its sole discretion, including if properly notified that such material infringes on another's intellectual property rights.
17. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any entries from, and prohibit further participation in this Promotion by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Promotion or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
18. By participating, entrants agree that ownership of any intellectual property rights in their entry is assigned to the Promoter.  The entrant agrees to sign any further documentation required by the Promoter to give effect to this assignment.  To the extent permitted by applicable law, entrants unconditionally and irrevocably consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe any moral rights in any materials submitted as part of their entry and waive all moral rights in such materials.
19. Winners claiming their prize will be refused service of alcohol or provision of an alcoholic beverage gift if it would breach any relevant laws, codes or policies including those of the relevant liquor licensee relating to the responsible service of alcohol.  Entrants should consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the NHMRC Australian Alcohol Guidelines: for males, up to 6 standard drinks on any one day, no more than 3 days a week; and for females, up to 4 standard drinks on any one day, no more than 3 days a week. The Promoter supports the responsible service of alcohol.
20. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
21. Entries remain the property of the Promoter.  Details from entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion.  By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant.  Entrants may access, change and/or update their personal information and obtain a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy by contacting the Promoter on 1300 730 001 during office hours.
